We provide Neurofeedback & Qeeg serving the Castle Rock & Colorado Springs region. Neurofeedback typically occurs in conjunction with additional mental and behavior health services whenever indicated (ie. EMDR, CBT, HRV).
The International Society for Neuroregulation & Research (ISNR) describes Neurofeedback, or EEG biofeedback as a type of biofeedback centered on learning to control and optimize brain function. Neurofeedback has been practiced across clinical environments for over 4 decades (see ISNR.org). Neurofeedback is based on two tenants:
- Brain electrical activity (EEG or electrocephlagram) reflects unique mental states
- Brain electrical activity can be trained to optimize function.
Our group uses neurofeedback as an integral component for treating Medical-Based Trauma, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, depression, ADHD, anxiety& autism. We also specialize in training athletes (sport & corporate) in order to optimize their daily performance across environments and is often in conjunction with other methods of biofeedback (ie. heart-rate variability and/or SEMG).

Bessel van der Kolk (2007) describes neurofeedback as a process for "befriending the nervous system". Sebern Fisher explains in her 2014 book titled Neurofeedback in the Treatment of Developmental Trauma as a "working interface between the brain and mind."
We focus on providing Neurofeedback as part of a comprehensive treatment package. Other coinciding treatments commonly include EMDR, CBT, and Peripheral Biofeedback. This may include other professionals on a client's treatment team including prescription management and/or primary care doctors.
